Jeff and Mick’s Coast to Coast
Below you can find information on our Coast to Coast Challenge from 2010. 194 Miles in 7 Days.
We took this challenge on as it was 10 years since a good friend died from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and we wanted to do something different in his name to raise some money for the organisation that offers local support to those afflicted by cancer and their families.
This is not you usual account of the coast to coast. We don’t have lots of photos, we didn’t explore off route.
What we did was walk 190 miles in 6 and a half days finishing at lunch time on our 7th day.
Our route is laid out below. and you can use the links to jump to each post about our days.
I’ve realised as we wrote this up that our posts got progressively less detailed and our desire to photograph and journal our walk became less the further we got in. This is not something to be attempted without strong support and determination. We had no rest days, we walked the equivalent of a marathon a day for 7 days and raised over £4000 doing it.
