Students from High Tunstall have been completing their training in Borrowdale in the Lake District. For many this was their first experience of Cumbria and as they entered Borrwodale via Keswick the majesty of the Borrowdale Fells did not fail to impress and also intimidate.
The group had two days of luxury staying at the Borrowdale Youth Hostel. Staff were very friendly and supportive of our students as they were welcomed to hostel. On the first evening the students studied topics on flora and fauna in preparation for their advanced aims on expedition. They we’re completely engrossed by Mr Fenwick’s passion for Lichen!
