Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze and Silver Practice Expeditions
It is the start of expedition season for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme across the country and both our Bronze and Silver groups were out in the North Yorkshire Moors on practice. We had a team of 72 (yes, that many!) out for the expedition with 52 students undertaking their Bronze training and 12 on Silver with our largest ever team of staff supervising. It is quite an undertaking managing a group of this size but the experience of our Silver Award students combined with the years of experience in or staff meant that any and all problems were well managed. The result was a great experience for all and we are already looking forward to our Final Expeditions in the Yorkshire Dales in July!
