Coast to Coast in 7 Days for local charity

For July 2010 we will walk the Coast to Coast path in 7 Days.

190 miles equates to an average of 27.1 miles a day.

We are using this event to raise money for the Friends of the Leeds Centre for Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma. The charity assists in the relief of persons suffering from leukaemia and other blood disorders by promoting research into such disorders and by assisting in the furnishing, equipping and maintaining of a ward in Leeds for the use of people suffering from these disorders from wherever they may come. The additional aim is to give added value to the services already provided by the NHS.

As friends will know we lost a close friend to Lymphoma just over 10 years ago now.  Our friend was treated in Leeds and we would very much like to give something back to that ward and the charity that supports it.  Please give generously to this very worthy cause and enjoy the updates on the state of Jeff’s feet or our frustration with Cumbrian pubs (see Hadrian’s Wall Walk) as entertainment worthy of said donation.

Mick, don’t get stuck behind any creeping Jesus’s!
All the best to you both, I can imagine this is going to be pretty tough as it took me 8 days to get as far as Richmond on C2C last year and I hobbled into Richmond, however I bet you’ll do it!
